While I prepare for tomorrow’s big day of educational and eco-toys giveaways, I thought you might enjoy a video on sumac with Matthew Wood.  I’ve reviewed a couple of Wood’s books, and he’s a very knowledgeable and experienced herbalist.  In my neck of the woods, the staghorn sumac is very plentiful.  I like sprinkling dried sumac berries on my homemade hummus recipe (alas, it’s some storebought – haven’t yet dried some myself for cooking) and it’s a kind of zingy, slightly lemony flavor.
