Turning lead into gold – that’s the medieval science of alchemy. And just like those metallurgical wizards of old, Alchemy Goods is hard at work turning the useless into something useful. Perusing places like bike shops and junk yards for the materials of their craft, Alchemy Goods conjures up some pretty interesting items, like this super sized Queen Anne wallet made from used bicycle inner tubes. The end result are one-of-a-kind items that make recycling a rather fashionable endeavor.
I replaced my old wallet with a Queen Anne wallet, and what struck me most the first time I looked it over was how well constructed it is. The exterior, made of the recycled bicycle inner tubes, looks sort of like distressed leather. The interior is put together with the care you’d expect if purchasing a pricey designer wallet or handbag. Lots of pockets and slots, a pen holder, id window, cash pocket, and oodles of eco-coolness have made the Queen Anne a quick favorite of mine. Whenever it’s time to get my wallet from my purse, I’m always hoping for an excuse to tell someone “It’s made of recycled inner tubes!”
Want to win your own Queen Anne wallet from Alchemy Goods? Here’s your chance! The Queen Anne retails for $58, and we’re giving one away to one of you! Just read through the rules below and get entered to win.

I like the night out wallet. I hate carrying a purse but I do it anyway because my wallet is simultaneously too big for me to keep in my back pocket and too small for me to carry as a clutch. And it’s ripped, so whenever I take my wallet out of my purse that I didn’t want to carry in the first place it starts to rain change.

I like the Fremont bag, made out of recycled billboard material. I’ve been looking at some similar bags, but have refrained from purchasing because they’re made in China and no one can tell me if they’re ethically produced or not. It sounds like this company makes them locally, so I can feel better about no child labor when I feed my fashion jones.

I find these bags and walets facsanating. Each bag is assembled by hand in their workshop, which is why that no two bags are exactly the same. Isn’t that cool.
I learned that they cannot recylce Kids bike size tubes. They should! You’d think kids size bikes would dominate the bike world. maybe not.

I like the Magnolia bag. And I found that all materials are sorted, cut, cleaned and prepped in the Seattle workshop. The bags are assembled at a sewing shop in the neighborhood.

Magnolia
This casual ladies’ handbag mixes style with eco credibility. The elegant inner tube shell encloses a roomy interior featuring two zippered pockets and two slip pocket organizers. You can choose your favorite from the two highlight thread colors that match the interior fabric.
*This is the first bag I’ve ever seen that looks like it can ‘almost’ keep up with me! A delicate name, but hard outer shell, perfect for this urbanite by day, traveler by weekend.
Great giveaway! I’m tired of the plastic cards tearing right through those thin card slots in lesser made wallets.
I like the black Magnolia bag.
