Broderbund PrintShop 23 Giveaway!

I have a very exciting and different sort of giveaway today.  That’s because a lot of us are stay-at-home parents, work-at-home parents, or entrepreneurial sorts.  We’re always starting something new, whether it’s a business, a kid’s project, or yet another blog.  So when I had the opportunity to test the Broderbund PrintShop 23, I thought, “It’s very different for dkMommy Spot yet it’s so perfect!”

The PrintShop 23 can help you do everything from designing your own greeting cards to starting your new business.  I’ve been trying the Pro Publisher Deluxe, which has been a whiz at designing dkMommy Spot business cards and other dkMommy projects I keep putting off.  But the PrintShop is very easy to use with premade templates you can tweak and alter to your heart’s desire.  And the best part for me is, I don’t have to go get 500 business cards printed at an exorbitant price, then wonder how I’m going to get rid of them all.  I can print as I go.  Saves money, saves paper, saves a lot of headaches for me.

There are three versions of PrintShop:  The Standard ($29.99), Deluxe ($49.99) and the Pro Publisher Deluxe ($99.99).  All three contain hundreds of thousands of images and graphics, hundreds of fonts, project templates, a photo workshop with editing, and lots more fun stuff.  I spent a large chunk of my weekend playing with the program and found it endlessly enjoyable.  Tutorials can be read as a PDF, printed, or watched as video.  The layout is simple, the tools are self-explanatory, and the end results are very professional.  Overall, no matter what you’re looking to print and design yourself, you’ll find PrintShop will be a great timesaver and a whole lot of fun.

Want to see for yourself?  I have one Standard version of PrintShop ($29.99) and one Deluxe version ($49.99) to give away to two randomly chosen winners just in time for preparing your own Christmas cards.  Or get that business off the ground you keep putting off because it all seemed too complicated.  Or surprise your boss with a great PDF document, or design your own family newsletters or stationary or slideshows or postcards or…

3 Ways to Enter:

1.) Just visit Broderbund’s PrintShop page and tell me something about the product that would really help you with your special projects. Have fun with your comment! If I can’t contact the randomly drawn winner, I choose according to comments.

2.) Email subscribers are entered into this and all future giveaways, for as long as their subscription is active. (No need to leave a comment to let me know you’re subscribed–once you’re in, I hold your email address near and dear!) Just click here: Subscribe to dkMommy Spot by Email (Please make sure to verify your Feedburner subscription by responding to the email they send you. If you do not receive it, check your junk mail. Only verified subscriptions are entered for all the giveaways.)

3.) Blog about this giveaway on your blog with a link back to this post. Come back and leave me a Comment with a link to your blog post. (If your comment doesn’t show up right away, don’t worry – I may have to approve it first. My blog might think it’s spam but gosh darn, I certainly don’t!)

Feel free to do all three, and you have three entries to win! You have until midnight EST on Friday, October 17, 2008, to enter.

Wow! Is this serendipity, or what?! I just found the perfect book chock full of greeting card sayings and I’ve been thinking about which print software to purchase to get started making my own greeting cards. Perfect!! I’d love to have the Pro version, that way I could do my cards as well as invitations, holiday greetings, and also help out my sister with her gift basket cottage business by making up flyers and stuff. I hope I win!!

  • sarah

I love the simple family tree!

  • kathy pease

i love the TurboFloorplan Landscape & Deck

  • Diana Corlett

All of the options available would be fantastic. For example, I see that the Deluxe Version has 21,000 professionally designed templates and powerful but simple design layout and tools. Clearly using it would not stretch my capabilities to the utter limit! With all the available project possibilities, this software would offer a wealth of exciting ideas and concepts, but first of all I would design and produce business cards for my small hobby kennel. A great prize; thank you for the opportunity!

  • The Print Shop® Web Designer looks good – I need something basic!

  • So my son is a young teen and full of um, attitude, many days. Nothing too bad mind you, but enough that I am positive he is a teenager! He is extremely creative though and loves the computer. I’m thinking that Print Shop would be a clever and creative way for him to show his attitude – you know the do not enter sign, private keep out, create a card with rolling eyes, maybe a sign that says “sigh” that he could just wear around his neck LOL! Honestly, he really is a good kid and I love him and I do think that he would enjoy making all sorts of things with the program and so would I.

  • The photo editing would be so helpful! I don’t have a nice program for that and my daughter is growing up so fast (five months now) – I really want to keep her photos looking nice and haven’t found a good photo editing software yet. On top of that, I would love to be able to make greeting cards! Thanks so much for the giveaway!

When I purchased my first computer, the very first software I bought was Broderbund’s Print Shop. I was in Seventh Heaven making cards, stationery, invitations, grocery lists, posters for my classroom, calendars, return address labels, business cards… well, just name it and I probably made it. It has been sad around here since I moved and haven’t been able to locate my software for my new computer. I would love to be back in Seventh Heaven with either edition of Broderbund’s Print Shop. Of course, I would love to have the Deluxe edition since I use it so much, but I certainly wouldn’t turn down the opportunity to own Print Shop 23. Either one would have many improvements over my initial purchase (MANY years ago). Thank you so much for an opportunity to win!

  • Veronica Garrett

  • Lily Kwan

I love how Print Shop Delixe has a clipart editing tool.

  • I need a good program for exporting in a jpeg, png, etc format, for my etsy shop http://www.peonypaperie.etsy.com. The deluxe version offers this capability, and the standard probably does as well.

  • I have the old Ensemble 111 and it was very very useful to me, I useed it every day for something. Cards Businedd cards etc. My machind folded up and I had to get a new one and guess what. The new vista will not accept 16bit programs. I now have to repurchase a new Ensemble and start over. Oh well, such is life.

  • I really would love to upgrade to Print shop 23. I have the 22 deluxe at the moment, but since I switched to Vista, it does not work anymore (Works only on XP). I used this program to make logos for my movies I make for youtube, but not anymore unfortunately.

  • But this IS a giveaway, Correct?

I just upgraded to the PrintShop Deluxe 23 and I love it. It does a lot more than what it appears to at the onset. If you go to New Projects – Search Projects, you get a lot more selections than on the Project Picker (such as an Advertisements category).
I also have a giveaway site if you would like to list it: winsweetstuff.com.

I have the printshop version 15 and am so outdated. I use this program for sooooo many things from making my children’s birthday invitations to cards for people. I also have used it to make business cards and forms for my husband. I love the program an would really like to see the many updates the new program has. Someone said I would be able to do some scrapbooking with the new program, which would help save time and preserve our children’s memmories.

  • laura

Oh and my old program 15 does not work on the new vista system that our new computer has.

  • Sue-mari

This would be wonderfull for my childrens foto’s, and for my small business (advertising) to design my clients logos and advertisements.
