Clean Food Cookbook Giveaway

For anyone attempting to eat with a seasonable approach, sifting through recipes can be overwhelming.  It’s spring.  The asparagus is abundant at your local farmer’s market, but perhaps every recipe you’re finding appealing contains foods that are out of season and not so readily available.  In steps Clean Food: A Seasonal Guide to Eating Close to the Source with More Than 200 Recipes for a Healthy and Sustainable You to make cooking simple again.

Clean Food by Terry Walters provides over 200 recipes arranged by season, making it the perfect choice for farmer’s market shopper and vegetable gardener alike.  Hey, when you have all that fresh farm produce in your own neighborhood (or backyard), why not take advantage to its fullest?

I enjoyed trying out this vegetarian cookbook because a great many of the recipes are simple and require few ingredients, yet they often come across as gourmet.  Yet there are several recipes with larger ingredient lists as well, providing just a bit more challenge for those who desire it.  And since each season contains a selection of soups, salads, main courses and desserts, pulling a healthy meal together that celebrates the seasons is enjoyable.

  8. I would be interested in the book 37 Houseplants Even You Can’t Kill since we’re not the best at keeping houseplants alive. I do fairly well, but if I go away and count on my husband, the plants die! ;( I should arm our house with hard-to-kill plants!
