For My Kids All-Natural Herbal Trio Giveaway

Click here for Natural Beauty Week Giveaways and more!

PhotobucketEvery parent has experienced this: You’re at the grocery store and have to put your child in the cart.  But that cart handle looms at you.  Did the last child sneeze all over it?  Who sat there last?  Or how about that dog you encountered on your walk?  Your son just stuck his finger in Fido’s nose, and wiping his hands on your shirt doesn’t seem quite thorough enough.  (Did you see the drool on that dog???) For My Kids is coming to the rescue with something a whole lot better than the average bleach-filled anti-bacterial sprays and hand cleaners.

For that drooling dog encounter, For My Kids has created a wonderful All-Natural Hand Wash that we’ve been putting to the test around here for awhile.  It’s been traveling along in the diaper bag, in my purse, even in the car.  My two-year-old son touches everything within reach, and believe me, there’s plenty in his reach I’d rather not talk about.  I’ve been able to pull out this All-Natural Hand Wash on many occasions while out and about, away from soap and water.  The combination of herbs, which includes lavender, is safe and pleasant smelling.  During our vacation, I found this little bottle to be a relief to have along!  You can’t imagine what that boy can find in a parking lot.  Ick.

For those grocery cart handles, cutting boards, drinking faucets, and other scary germ-filled locations, For My Kids makes a Vinegar of the Four Thieves spray that you can take with you anywhere.  (The 1-ounce and 2-ounce bottles are perfect for the purse or diaper bag.  Bigger ones are available for the home.)  Vinegar of the Four Thieves is a traditional blend that has the ability to stop those nasty germies in their tracks.

If you think For My Kids must have a great lineup of products, you’re right.  The good news is, they’re going to share some of it with one lucky dkMommy Spot reader!  I have here a great trio any natural mom or dad would drool over. (No references to the previous dog, please.)  Here’s what you’ll get:  One 2-ounce bottle of the Vinegar of the Four Thieves, one 1/2 ounce tin of Vanilla All-Natural Vegan Lip Balm, and one 1/2 ounce tin of All-Natural Comfrey Salve.  That last one is a great addition to the purse as well; use it on cuts, burns, bug bites, and boo-boos in general.  This set will come in handy for the whole family - as the mother of one son and two dogs, I speak from experience!

I’m particularly interested in the vegan lip balm. I was a little taken aback by the comment referring to some of the scary components of regular lip balms and I found that I was happy they didn’t list them but yet I did want to know too. Sometimes a shock to the system is what it takes, right? Anyhow, I’m always on the lookout for vegan items because my daughter is vegan. My awareness of product ingredients has increased tenfold because of that.

This would be great to have around when my grandson comes to visit. But I also thought about myself. I go to a lot of flea markets, antique shops, and garage sales. After one afternoon of that, you realize just how many really icky things you have picked up and handled. I think this would be great to keep in the glove compartment for quick cleanups in between stops.
The My Kids web site also recommended kitchen uses such as counter tops and cutting boards. I like that idea too, instead of chemical sprays and cleaners.

Plese enter me, I’m also a subscriber. Thanks for the chance to win.

I love their shipping policy! Stated from their website - Although we prefer biodegradable cornstarch packing peanuts, your order may occasionally be packed using Styrofoam packing peanuts–this is because we firmly adhere to the policy of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (we’d rather reuse the Styrofoam peanuts that we’ve received in packages than put them in a landfill).

    Very nice!
