Before you start planting, you should prepare your soil first by adding compost and plowing it thoroughly. Be sure to make the soil loose and have proper drainage to prevent water logging. Also give your soil organic fertilizers to condition it before you start planting. This will build-up the nutrients in the soil that is good for the cucumbers growth.
