Keira Knightly. Heather Graham. Kirsten Dunst. Diane Kidman (that’s me). What do we all have in common? Paparazzi? Red carpets? Nah – great hair! Hamadi’s slogan is “Tested on Actresses; Never on Animals” but now it’s been tested on this blogger, and I adore it. Hamadi’s hair care line is probably the most luxurious I’ve ever tried, and everything is very natural, very safe, very organic. How does it make my hair feel? Divine. I find myself running my fingers through it just so I can play with what I’m starting to think of as “famous people” hair.
I have rather thick hair, and with many natural shampoos and washes I’ve tried, I can’t seem to get the product through my hair without using what seems like large amounts. But the Hamadi Honey Soymilk Hair Wash has been working very well. The Shea Rice Milk Conditioner isn’t heavy and doesn’t weigh my hair down, another issue my thick hair gives me. I’m even able to comb my wet hair with only my fingers – the tangles simply refuse to exist. And the Healing Serum? Amazing. A blend of essential oils made to leave in your hair, you’ll find yourself using it just for the scent. But possibly my favorite item has been the Shea Leave In that I’ve had the pleasure of sampling. It’s a light conditioner which requires very little for effect, and it doubles as a lotion! It’s been hovering around 0ºF for weeks now, and my hands have been cracked and dry. They guzzle lotion. With a little Shea Leave In, they’re breathing a sigh of relief.
Overall, Hamadi’s products have impressed me much more than I expected. Nothing artificial or harmful, great natural scents, and a little goes a long way. They’re priced about the same as what you’d expect to find in a nicer salon, and since they’re long lasting and work so well, I’d say it’s worth the few extra bucks. Personally, I’m seeing a lot more paparazzi action on my block and I’m certain it’s my hair…
