After three applications, there were still several (actually more than I had seen yet) japanes beetles on the roses. I decided to sprinkle with garlic powder. We will see tomorrow how it works. The habanero mixture I made worked well to keep aphids and mites off my roses, but not so dynamite at keeping the J.B's. off my rasberries. I do get a few JB's on my roses, but the raspberries are like candy to them, while the roses are like a vegetable. The commercial neem oil product I bought suggested applying in the cooler evening than in the hot sun of the day. The label said this was because of the oil content of the product.
