I love the Pets Touch and Feel Puzzle by Melissa and Doug. My daughter is really into animals, and she is finally getting to the age where she understands how to manipulate objects to allow them to sit correctly inside of a puzzle, etc.

Creative Blocks by Plan Toys – I had blocks when I was younger and I remember playing for hours with them. They were just painted wooden blocks but they kept me entertained! It seems with all the “high tech” gadgets out there for younger kids, no one even thinks about blocks anymore. But I make sure each child in my life, niece, nephew, friends kids, my kids – get blocks for a gift. Funny how they too, spend hours stacking and building, instead of pressing buttons and watching TV.
