I love wearing dresses in the summertime. They look great, they’re cool and comfortable, and I don’t have to pick shorts that match. I have a Baby Rib Tee Dress from Maggie’s Organics, and wearing it makes me look good while feeling like I’m running around in my jammies. Sort of like cheating fashion! (Take that, fancy catwalk people.) I love Maggie’s Organics and have reviewed their items in the past, but this dress is perhaps my favorite so far. Organic t-shirt cotton with a comfortable stretchiness, I feel like the coolest chick at the farmer’s market. But since it’s a basic cut, I can easily throw on my favorite sandals and jewelry for a night out. I do believe it’s one of the most versatile pieces in my wardrobe!
The Baby Rib Tee Dress comes in three colors: Black, Light Blue, and Lilac. (Mine is Lilac, but then I’ve always been partial to purples.) The sizes range from Small to Extra Large and are a little form fitting, so if you like that look, I’d suggest sticking with the size you usually wear. For something a little more roomy, ordering a size up may be the way to go. And the best part? Maggies’ Organics has some of the nicest pricing in organic, fair trade clothing I’ve come across. This little number is only $33 retail, but with the sale price of $28.05, you can afford to get one in each color! Or do some more shopping. That’s always a big plus. I like the Women’s Baby Rib Tee – Short Sleeve in black large.
They use certified organic cotton or wool for their products. This might make them a bit pricier, but the fact that the plants and critters are raised organically and kindly means more to me than a few cents.
