When I was a kid, I remember some of the paintings on the walls of our family home. They were precious belongings to my parents, remembrances of travel and exotic places, and we weren’t allowed to touch them. But there was something magical about all those thick layers of paint creating trees and lakes, and I wanted to touch them; if I could only reach….
Mia Canvas is a company that creates touchable art for your kids. The interactive paintings are brightly colored canvases that are also magnetic. Children can add to the painting by moving around the coordinating magnets, or by adding their own magnets. We’ve been playing with a Mia Canvas painting of a cow in a field. Ladybugs and leaves can be rearranged, and my son is able to add a few magnets of his own, sometimes attaching bits of his own artwork.
Mia Canvas is giving away one Magnetic Interactive Painting ($59.95 retail) to a dkMommy Spot reader! Here’s your chance to give artwork to your child that can actually be touched!

?MIA Canvas is art for the inquisitive mind.” A young child is always inquisitive and it is our duty to nurture that. I had not really thought much about the artwork for a child’s room but I really like the MIA interactive artwork. I like how it draws the child to it and enables him to be a part
of the picture making process.
Love the little cherry tree
Happy Monday entry, thanks

Oliver and Sadie remain my favorites, but this interactive/magnetic art board is a great idea. I think it would really appeal to all of my younger grandchildren. I’m a subscriber.
?Quoting from the website “. Top quality acrylic craft paints are used to create each piece and each
painting is coated with a special UV protectant that will help seal and guard the canvas for years
to come.” I am so glad that these are made to last and are indeed a quality product.

I learned that Mia means: MIA Canvas stands for Magnetic Interactive Art. The acronym was a name that could encompass all the characteristics that each piece of art contains.
Nice!

?Quoting from the website :”Our version of the ““family tree”” has many practical applications but the canvas also evokes feelings of comfort, family, and nature. The colors are strong and distinguished so that young eyes are drawn to the images. Exploring fingers will soon discover the
““rough”” bark of the tree. Bright fruits hang from the branches and they can hold family pictures & drawings to create a personal collage as a one-of-a-kind family heirloom. The fruits can be repositioned to create endless ““pictures”” or lined up for categorizing and counting.”
What a wonderful combination of colors and textures. I
love that beginning learning skills such as categorizing and counting are included for this picture. There is just so much that each picture can be used for as well as simply enjoying it as art.
like the starry skies collection
The Family Tree is cool, but i think my son would really like the crayon one where he can put all his artwork on everyday from school in his room to display.
Happy Wednesday!!!
I love the tic tac toe ones b/c they are cute and fun and you can really play a game with it!

My Wednesday entry.
It turns out my grandson Jack’s preference is for the barnyard animals, but Grandma still puts the waddlers #1 on her list. I can’t imagine a child who wouldn’t be attracted to this Canvas Art. I’m a subscriber.
Happy Wednesday entry, thanks!

Each piece of artwork is one-of-a-kind, handcrafted, and made with love! MIA Canvas Collections are gallery wrapped, with the painting continuing along the side of the boxed canvas which creates additional perspective. You can choose to hang the artwork this way or have it framed. Top quality acrylic craft paints are used to create each piece and each painting is coated with a special UV protectant that will help seal and guard the canvas for years to come.
I really liked the The Barnyard Collection especially Felix the Sheep. What a super idea to create an interactive painting that is magnetized so children can use their creativity and imagination. I have a t-shirt with a pic of a sheep on it and everytime I wear it when granddaughters around she points at it and says baaaaaaaa LOL

very nice
?Quoting the website: “Encouraging esteem and confidence, this handmade art canvas is a creative
way to let kids show their colors. Their own room becomes an interactive art gallery for all to see
and admire. And best of all you get to keep your fridge magnets! “
I love how these collections are for “hands on” not “hands off”. Children love to touch and arrange and I have never seen
anything like these creations for children’s art.
like the starry skies collection..
I liked the Pink Family Tree
