Miss Bimbo Online Game for Girls – Sinking to New Lows

missbimbo_450x300.jpg

It’s official – I am sick to my stomach.  This new online “game” for girls ages 9 – 16 is becoming an international hit!  If you have daughters, I urge you to learn about Miss Bimbo and talk to your daughters about avoiding the game.

We’re talking about girl gamers leading Miss Bimbo through boob jobs, extreme weight loss, and boyfriend catching (so he can buy you stuff, as the game states).  Bimbo dollars earned by players helps them to pay for their plastic surgery, lingerie, and those much-needed diet pills.

Miss Bimbo is going to have parents yearning for the “moral” days of Barbie, whose boobs may be unusually large, but plastic surgery was never an option.  The links in this post will bring you articles from around the world – although the game originated in France, it’s quickly becoming an international craze.

There’s just no way around it, a game like this is aimed at setting women’s self images back generations – teaching girls to “become the trendsetting bimbo in town.”

And this is one toy that can’t be recalled.

  1. I was absolutely stunned after reading this post. Our young ladies have enough to deal with just to navigate safely through their teen years…then some trash like Miss Bimbo comes along! Since this is “online”, don’t parental contols help to eliminate this type garbage? This may not be the “politically correct” thing to say (but when have I ever been politically correct) but I’d like to wring the neck of the inventor of Miss Bimbo.

Keep up the great work. Thank you so much for the hours you must spend in research to help us avoid the ‘pitfalls’ that are out there.

    Kindest Regards,

    Kathryn

  2. This is just horrible. My girls are only 3 and 2, can you imagine the kind of trash they’ll have when they get older? It is precisely this reason-one of- that our computer will always be in the family room where I can keep an eye on what they are doing!

  3. this game is excelent, it shows the real world and how to become succes in life. i will love to play it with my daugther

  4. And I thought Bratz was bad.

I can imagine that this may have been created as a joke but if so, it’s just too close to the truth to be funny. Why not call it “I Wanna Be Paris Hilton” and be honest? But I agree with you, talking with your daughters will be the best antidote for this kind of thing–the best thing to combat these kinds of images is for your daughters to know you know you love and respect them for who they are and that neither you nor they need what this game’s selling. And for their fathers to be right there with the message as well. You keep seeing those studies that talk about the largest part of a girl’s self-esteem rises from her relationship with her father, whether he’s respectful and loving–a girl’s first experience with how to relate to men is with her father and that relationship will often affect her future actions and self-image.

  5. Esteeming our daughters begins now, while they are young. Stuff like this is something you pray your daughters can rolls their eyes at, as they know and feel confident in the body they have. Build their creative, musical and intellectual confidence in the smallest of ways now.

They highlighted this new sight on the news last night. I was not surprised. Just sit on a bench at the mall. These young girls need their mothers, most of whom are not available. That is a subject I must just be quiet now.

    Thanks for building awareness.

  8. I couldn’t understand some parts of this article Miss Bimbo Online Game for Girls – Sinking to New Lows, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.

  9. Hi !
I’m a 13 years old girl and I play miss bimbo . I think that there is nothing wrong if you don’t take it too seriously . I can agree with you in that , that girls under 12 shouldn’t play this game ; they are in that age that they take an example from everything they see . ( I don’t say this only becourse i’m over 12 )But I think you take this a little too seriously. Even I play it , It dosen’t mean I would go straight a way to get an implants ! I’m 163 cm high and i waight 51 kg . And I think I don’t need any kind of pills or surgerys . And what I’m trying to say , is that it doesn’t have to affect you ! I even despise bimbos in real life , but it doesn’t mean I can’t pretend to be one in internet!
I think …Aren’t games just for that ?! To bretend someone else ???
    Take a stance !

  10. I myself play the game and im almost 15. I love it and i do think that girls above the age of 12 should only play it because they are just getting to an age where they step out into the real world and see all these celebrity’s getting nose jobs and going to rehab for drinking and drugs etc.

I know that i should never do the things on the website in real life. But it is fun to pretend right?

I’m 5’3 and i’m 86 lb. but im only 86 lb. cuz i have a high metabolism. I would never take diet pills to make myself skinny or get implants niether.
I can see why parents are freaking out about this website but the best thing to do is to tell them that they should never do stuff like that in real life.

  11. Actually, that’s not what the game is about at all. I play it, unlike many people who criticize it, so I would know. Plastic surgery is not necessary in the game, getting a boyfriend is not about having him buy you stuff, and there aren’t even diet pills on the game at all… the only pills are medicine for when your character is sick or unhappy. You are not encouraged to lose too much weight (in fact, one level’s goal is to get to 154 pounds), and each character’s ideal weight is 120 pounds. To lose weight, you eat things like fruit and vegetables and go to the gym to work out. If you are underweight, happiness decreases. Money isn’t only used for plastic surgery and lingerie. You can also buy pets, food, apartments and houses, furniture, medicine, clothing, accessories, and more. You can make friends by messaging other players and learn how to handle money by creating a budget for yourself.
It really is a good game. Not perfect, nut it isn’t as bad as you’re making it seem, either.

  12. I have a small clip from the Paris Hilton video on my blog. To bad it got leeched onto the internet for everyone to watch. She did not want it to be released as it was her ex boyfriend Rick Salomon that released it.
