I can imagine that this may have been created as a joke but if so, it’s just too close to the truth to be funny. Why not call it “I Wanna Be Paris Hilton” and be honest? But I agree with you, talking with your daughters will be the best antidote for this kind of thing–the best thing to combat these kinds of images is for your daughters to know you know you love and respect them for who they are and that neither you nor they need what this game’s selling. And for their fathers to be right there with the message as well. You keep seeing those studies that talk about the largest part of a girl’s self-esteem rises from her relationship with her father, whether he’s respectful and loving–a girl’s first experience with how to relate to men is with her father and that relationship will often affect her future actions and self-image.
