Win a My 1st Camera from Down to Earth Toys!
I love wooden toys! My son’s favorites are often wooden, natural toys and I’m glad he favors them over the plastic stuff. There’s something more warm and friendly about a good wooden plaything. Take, for instance, My 1st Camera sold by Down to Earth Toys. Made in the USA from reclaimed walnut, maple, cherry, and birch and finished with 100% pure tung oil, this darling toy gives your child their own version of a big grown-up camera.
If you’re looking for toys made in USA, Down to Earth Toys has a wonderful selection; in fact, over 90% of their toys are USA made! I can’t think of a better gift to give the USA this year than to purchase things made here. It can be tough to find USA made items these days, but toy shopping can be pretty straightforward if you know where to look. I’ve been dealing with Down to Earth Toys for a couple of years now, and I give them my thumbs up for being a solid and conscientious company. Bookmark ‘em for the upcoming holiday season! You’ll be glad to have them onhand.
Down to Earth Toys is giving away one of their My 1st Cameras ($22.95 retail) to a lucky dkMommy Spot reader!

I love the Child’s Kitchen — I think every kid needs one of these to play with, great for the imagination. Mmmmmm I can already taste the make believe dinners!!! Thanks for the great giveaway:)
the kids crooked house is awesome! i saw it on the show jon and kate plus 8 with all there kids and thought they were so neat looking. thanks for the chance to win the camera.
I love the rainbow canopy playsilk – the colors are so gorgeous.
And the wooden milk jug and two cups are very cool. The first thing I thought about the camera (and a lot of the other wood pieces) was “I want to hold it and feel it” because there’s just something about quality woodcraft that makes you want to reach out and touch it. Don’t get that with plastic, do you?

I love their line of wooden trains. My 17-month old has just discovered our small set of trains from our 4 1/2 year old & he absolutely loves them! He could play for hours with them, which I love because it’s such a simple classic toy. I would love to get a new set to mix in with the old & expand our wooden train collection.
Anna’s Dollhouse is unique & so naturally brilliant. I can see my little girl enjoying this for hours on end.
The rolling floor tumbler toy looks like a ton of fun for a baby, especially one learning to crawl. Heck, it looks so fun, I want to crawl after it!

I love the kitchens in the imaginative toys section. In particular, Christina’s kitchen with the large counter area for additional play and Dakota’s kitchen, the traditional Waldorf kitchen. My 23 month old loves cooking and is really starting to develop his pretend play- he would love these.

I’m such a fan of the silks! They can be used for EVERYTHING! Dress ups, dolls, forts, just everything! I wish I had a bunch of them. So versatile and beautiful. I have 6 girls ages 10 and under, and they would definitely use them every day.
the a frame toy barn – city kids need to be exposed to nature and a simpler life
I pick the cuddle doll or any of the waldorf dolls. I am a firm believer in toys that allow children to use their imagination.

I like the Hickory Dickory Dock Clock so that I can teach my granddaughter the nursery rhyme and eventually how to tell time.
I love the play food- i am part of a felt food swap with some friends online- we each make a set of 13 of one item, then swap with the others, so we end up with 10 or more different felt food items. The ones on this site are more professional than what we make, and could round out my collection!
I love the Bath Tub Boat because I’m SICK of all the plastic toys!!!
