Giveaway Closed – Congrats to Janice! Your Trillow is on its way!
For about a year now I’ve been using one of those Tempurpedic Memory Foam pillows. With my back and neck problems, I’ve taken numerous regular trips to the chiropractor, so I’ve tried hard to keep things in place between visits. That has meant altering my sleep positions. Since I now have to sleep on my back, the Tempurpedic seemed the only choice. But I have to admit I was always leery about what’s used to make the foam. So when I got the chance to test a Trillow Biogreen Memory Foam Pillow from Relief-Mart, I really wanted to give it a go.
The Biogreen Trillow, unlike its Tempurpedic counterpart, is made of foam that contains absolutely no VOC’s and does not outgas dangerous fumes. I remember when I first got my Tempurpedic, I didn’t use it for about a week. It smelled strongly of fumes, so I aired it out. Even after I started using it, I aired it out during the day. The Trillow went straight from the box to my bed. I used it the very first night, and while there was a slight odor initially, it was very hard to detect after only about three days., and shortly afterwards the slight smell completely dissipated.
For me, one of the biggest plusses has been the comfortability factor. My husband had called my original memroy foam pillow “the brick”. The Trillow has allowed me more freedom to turn my head, and it’s actually cozy whereas the Tempurpedic often made my ear fall asleep if my head moved a little to the side.
Another feature with the Trillow is that it’s three pillows in one. You can use it as-is or pull out the core to create a less lofty contoured pillow. Or you can roll up the outside portion to be used as a travel pillow; even use the inside one a s a children’s pillow. (Hey, that’s FOUR great ways to use it. I suppose Fourllow isn’t a very attractive name for a pillow anyway.)
Overall, I’m very pleased with the Biogreen Trillow. The Tempurpedic currently resides in a trunk reserved for guest bedding, and even though I tried to pass it on to my husband, he opted out, preferring not to sleep on “the brick”. I look forward to sleeping on my Trillow each night, even three months after first receiving it. I’ve noticed a difference in my neck pain as well. Now, that makes me really happy!
