The key in successful intercropping is to recognize what vegetables are perfect to be grown as companions for other plants. Remember, a wrong pairing can give unfavorable effects on your veggies. An example of good intercropping: bean can be planted alongside carrots, radish, potatoes, cauliflower, cucumbers or cabbage, but shouldn’t be planted next to garlic, onions, or chives.
