One of the most common questions I get asked about baby health is “How can I get rid of my baby’s eczema?” The eczema issue is no stranger to me; my son has had problems with it since infancy, especially during the colder months. It’s always been an issue behind his ears, but as soon as the weather turns colder, which seems to be most of the time in these parts, his cheeks get so dry and flaky that it seems we oil him up more than a Thanksgiving turkey! Over the past month or so, I’ve been testing some Potash Hill Farm Goat Milk Lotion sent to me from a wonderful online store, Farmhouse Wares.
I knew we had a winner the very first time we used it. The lotion is very thick, and the instructions suggest putting it on slightly damp skin. It soaked in well, but there was still something of a protective barrier on my son’s skin. The most common time we’ve used this product is at night; even by that first morning, I was astonished at the difference. My son’s cheeks, which had been dry for months, were healthy and glowing. The treatment has become a bedtime ritual; I even put a little behind his ears. For the first time in his almost three years of life, he has no eczema at all behind those little lobes!
Along with the lotion came a bar of Potash Hill Farm Goat Milk Soap. This excellent bar soap is handmade, handcut soap made from handmilked goats. Can’t get much more natural than this. The scent of both products is pleasing and natural; great for men, women, and children.
Farmhouse Wares would like to give one of you a chance to try Potash Hill Farm Goat Milk products. The people of Farmhouse Wares tells me that Potash Hill Farm products are made by a mom who’s also a goat farmer. She first started making these items to help her son’s eczema, and thankfully she chose to make her products available to the rest of us moms, dads, and kids alike. Want to win your own set? Farmhouse Wares has one waiting!
