Save Your World’s Luscious Lather Soap Variety Gift Bag Giveaway
Click Here for More Christmas Giveaways & Coupon Codes!
Save Your World has quickly become one of my favorite all-natural stores for bath and body products. Not only are the scents absolutely heavenly, but so is their purpose. That’s because Save Your World saves acres of rainforest with money from every purchase you make. In fact, this Luscious Lather Soap Variety Gift Bag, put together special for the holidays, saves 5 whole acres! That means you could give the gift bag to your beloved earth lover and tell them 5 acres of rainforest were saved from their present. What an incredible gift to give.
The Happy Holidays Luscious Lather Soap Variety Gift Bag includes three full-sized bars of soap (one of each scent), sample packs of all their other products, and two Save Your World wristbands. If you bought all these items separately, it would cost $43. But as a set, it’s $19.99. Save Your World is giving away one of these wonderful gift bags to one rainforest-saving reader.

The more products you buy the more acres you save.

I like their Conservation Mission:
In 2006, a group of family and friends joined together to create the Save Your World project. The mission of this organization is to provide financial support for and create public awareness around conserving our world’s natural resources.
By purchasing our products, you are contributing to the Save Your World project, a partnership with Conservation International and the Government of Guyana Forestry Commission. The project secures rainforest habitat that would have been leased by mining or logging companies. Every purchase you make helps protect one whole acre of dwindling habitat, thus keeping it in its pristine condition.”

Save Your World is part of Conservation International which has an agreement with the Government of Guyana. They pay annual royalties and fees to the Guyana Forestry Commission in exchange for 200,000 acres of rainforest. They maintain this acreage in pristine condition rather than logging or mining it.
This is an excellent project and I’m glad to know this company is part of it.

OK. I kind of already knew this but I’m going to post it anyway: fair trade tremendously impacts communities and the environment through its holistic process. Helping communities sustain their environment and meet their educational, nutritional and health care needs impacts them tremendously and diminishes inequalities, allowing for a fair society for all, especially the poor.

December 2nd, 2008 at 8:00 pm
I read about why we should save the rainforest, all of them necessary but what stood out was this .All rainforest combined house 90% of 1.2 billion people who live in extreme proverty. I did not see one word about the US or UN sending food supplies to any of these people, they live from the land and the plants are used for medicine. I was amazed. Thank you for sponsering this web site.

I love how they use all natural and organic ingredients. Lately I have been trying to rid my apartment of chemicals and researching this it is crazy to find how many harmful ingredients are in things like cosmetics, that get absorbed directly into our bodies. In February 2008, they signed The Compact for Safe Cosmetics, a list you can check out to find companies that adhere to guidelines for their products that are good for humans and the environment!

I also wondered what it Fair Trade meant.. Well now I know:What is fair trade?
As defined by the Fair Trade Federation, fair trade is a system of exchange that seeks to create equity and partnership in the international trading system by:
Fair Trade Organic Yerba Mate from Brazil
* Paying fair wages in the local context
* Supporting participatory workplaces
* Ensuring environmental sustainability
* Supplying financial and technical support
* Offering public accountability
* Respecting cultural identity
* Building direct and long-term relationships
* Educating consumers
December 3rd, 2008 at 9:54 am
I learned that fair trade tremendously impacts communities and the environment through its holistic process.

I found it really interesting that there was even a company like this out there. The rainforest is such undiscovered territory, with possibilities for medicinal plants and different kinds of animals and insects that haven’t been discovered yet. It’s crucial that we save this precious ecosystem, and companies like this can only help.
