Yuzu Dream Tea by Mellow Monk

Around our house, there’s no argument: Mellow Monk is our favorite Japanese green tea, hands down. That’s why I’m so happy to have two packets of Mellow Monk tea to give away to two lucky readers.

I first discovered Mellow Monk several years ago when I had the opportunity to review them here. Ever since that first taste, we’ve kept some in stock at the house; in fact, it’s become a Christmas tradition for my husband to find some in his stocking each year. I’ll tell you what makes these teas so special: They’re truly artisanal, grown on small family farms in Japan. And since the company finds sustainable, environmental stewardship to be very important, you can feel good about any purchase you make.

Green tea lovers will enjoy browsing their selection of eleven exquisite teas. The two I’ll be giving away are Top Monk and Yuzu Dream. Top Monk is one of their bestsellers and is possibly our favorite as well (although Mountain Snow, this year’s stocking stuffer, is making it tougher for me to say that). Tropical Traditions Organic Golden Flaxseed Giveaway

Our family has been including flax in our diet for a few years now.  It ends up in all sorts of foods, even green smoothies and my dogs’ food!  (My vet says my dogs have the healthiest of coats, and I attribute it to their healthy diet.)  I wanted to give Tropical Traditions’ Organic Golden Flaxseed a try because I’ve been so impressed with the company and the quality of their products.  I certainly wasn’t disappointed when it came to the flaxseed!

The flax comes in a sealed freshness bag, and it was definitely fresh when it arrived.  After a few years of eating flax, it’s pretty easy to tell when you’ve got fresh seeds and when you’ve got something that’s been sitting around for awhile.  No doubts here!  Tropical Traditions’ flaxseed has made its way into countless smoothies, has been sprinkled on oatmeal, munched straight from the bag, and even enjoyed by the canine members of our family.  I can easily say it’s the best quality flax I’ve had, and I wholeheartedly give it a dkM thumbs up!

Tropical Traditions Lavender Moisturizing Cream Giveaway

I feel like I’ve learned a great skin care secret since I’ve discovered the use of coconut oil products, in particular those from our friends at Tropical Traditions. I got hooked on their skin care first with the moisturizing lotions, and lately I’ve been using their Lavender Moisturizing Cream for my face.  The ingredients are simple, straight-forward and natural, earning a big dkM thumbs up.  It’s a great moisturizer for evening, especially after some sun exposure. It applies thick but soaks up into the skin quickly, and by morning I’m able to tell I’ve used it.

The Moisturizing Cream comes in several scents and unscented, and I selected lavender.  Fragrances are not imitation, but are instead from natural essential oils, and I find the lavender oil to be a perfect before-bed scent.  Lavender oil is known among aromatherapists to be both relaxing and uplifting, so it’s a great choice for a moisturizer.
