Guest writer Angie Taylor of Your Happy Hearts.com shares with us her experiences with Juice Beauty Skin Care.  Check out her site for some great advice on getting physically fit!

Juice Beauty provides refreshing organic products with no artificial scents.  The Juice Beauty Organic Facial Wash is an easy way to remove impurities with organic fruit acids and botanicals.  Each Juice Beauty product has a unique smell, this one being of evening primrose.  With just a little squirt, you can cleanse your face (recommended morning and evening) and your makeup is removed easily with no harsh scrubbing.

I also tried the Organic Facial Rejuvenation Mask. This was a treat on my face.  Simply applying a layer to your skin, letting it dry, and washing it off with warm water, feeds your skin with organic antioxidants and vitamins.  This product also has the smell of grapes, apples, and lemon. I much preferred this scent to that of the Facial Wash, which has a light rose aroma.

I personally own the Exfoliating Cleanser, which I must say is my favorite.  I love having this in the shower in the evening to scrub the dead skin cells away from my face.  This is a pineapple and jojoba blend so the scent is light and fresh.

Juice Beauty The Organic Solution is a solution for those who want to live a more organic life and rid themselves of the artificial scents and perfumes that are in so many of our health and beauty products. Did you know that all the artificial scents and chemicals in our products and clothing will slow you metabolism over time encouraging your body to store fat?  By reducing these items in our lives, your metabolism can run at a rate that your body needs. Every bit helps when trying to change your lifestyle to that of a more simpler time and ridding our self of harmful chemicals. With Juice Beauty you know you are treating yourself to that of excellence. These products get 9 out of 10 stars.

Testing stretch mark oil on a woman who isn’t pregnant (that would be me) may sound a bit tricky, but when you have a blend as pure and healthy for the skin as Mama’s Gold Stretch Mark Oil, any skin is happy to have it around.  I have oiled anyone with Mama’s Gold who would sit still long enough, including my nearly three-year-old son who has a tendency towards dry skin during the cold months.  He especially has enjoyed getting a good oiling, and with great results.  While he’s not in danger of getting stretch marks (even at his rapid pace of growth), the oil in Mama’s Gold by Shea Terra Organics impresses me as being completely safe and pure.

That’s good news for those of you who are pregnant.  Since the skin is the largest organ of the body, that means that whatever you put on that skin most definitely becomes a part of you.  And when there’s an unborn baby who is also part of you, you’ll want to be extra careful about your product choices.  Mama’s Gold has no ingredients but the following: Shea oil, carrot seed oil, pumpkin seed oil, baobab oil, tsamma melon oil, marula oil, lemon essential oil, lavender essential oil, calendula, Egyptian chamomile, kigelli, African potato, and blue mountain sage essential oil.  Those are all pure oils and nothing more!  I found that rather impressive.  The smell is mild and soothing, just right for any mama to be who may be experiencing a more sensitive sense of smell than usual.

The great news here is that Shea Terra Organics is giving away one bottle of their Mama’s Gold Stretch Mark Oil ($24 retail) to one of you!  Use it for yourself or give it as a gift to your expecting friend.  It’ll provide glowing skin no matter who gets the rub!

I’m not afraid of getting older.  I know it’s a fear for many women, but I truly believe that the older I get, the better I get!  Regardless of how I look forward to discovering who I will become, I don’t think my skin has to show it.  I’m not talking Botox and face lifts.  I’m talking natural skin care based on the effective, nurturing ingredients that plants provide.  Eco-Beauty has a large selection of all-natural skin care, and over the last month I’ve been testing their “Happy Aging Facial Lotion” (retail $54).

Oftentimes lotion for older skin is heavy and thick.  But Happy Aging is a light lotion that absorbs quickly.  I can feel it working, which is something I always like in a face lotion.  While the sensation is that of my skin tightening, it’s not unpleasant or drying – it’s more of a face lift in a bottle, if you will.  I have definitely seen a difference in fine lines, in particular around the eyes. Created with botanical extracts of cat’s claw, water lily, and grapeseed, all known for their anti-aging properties, it provides a great combination for aging skin.

I’d recommend Happy Aging Face Lotion for the upcoming warmer months when you want to keep your skin moisturized but you’re looking to avoid a heavy feeling after applying your face care.  A pleasantly scented lotion with a hint of mild rose, lightand comfortable application, and an effective tool in keeping your skin from the ravages of everyday life.  I’d say it’s a surefire way to get better with age!
