Recently dkMommy Spot gave away a copy of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Vegan Cooking, and I was pretty impressed with the book. So I was happy to check out The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Eating Raw. My family tries to incorporate a lot of raw foods into our diet, and while we do cook things around here, I certainly understand the great importance of eating raw. But if you’re not familiar with raw foods, aside from a dinner salad, you probably don’t have a clue about where to start.
The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Eating Raw covers things very well if you’re interested in digging into the nitty-gritty. But if you already know the basics and want to dive right into the recipe section, you can do that too. That’s what’s so nice about the Complete Idiot’s series. It’s easy to flip through their books and find exactly what you’re after without taking the time to read cover to cover. Eating Raw will teach you how to sprout seeds successfully, make your own nut cheeses (these are quite good), make yogurt out of plants, and all sorts of things you may have never even thought of. Whether you’re looking for a few good recipes to add to your dinner, or you want to totally make over your family’s eating habits, the information is in there.
I’m a recipe experimenter. I love to try new ingredients, and I love to prepare my usual ingredients in unusual ways. If you’re like me, or if you’re already way into raw foods and want some fresh ideas, you’re in the right place! Enter here to win your own copy of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Eating Raw.

My daughter’s vegan and her boyfriend is a raw vegan. I had never even heard of that until she started dating him.
