So you’ve thought you’d like to try some vegan cooking, but what in heaven’s name do those people use in place of milk and eggs? Or maybe you are a vegan already, and you want some new recipes to shake things up in the kitchen. No matter your reason for searching out a vegan cookbook, The Complete Idiot’s Guide series has a book loaded with great vegan recipes that’s sure to get your culinary imagination humming. It’s called The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Vegan Cooking.
My family isn’t vegan; I guess you’d call us weekday vegetarians. We eat a little meat on the weekends, and if there’s a special event we’ll often eat some then too. But to be perfectly honest, we all feel much better without the meat. So I’m always on the lookout for fresh new vegan and vegetarian recipes. The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Vegan Cooking has been a real pleasure to use. The recipes cover everything from soups to breads to main courses to a delicious selection of desserts. I’ve been having a great time picking things out to cook, and my family is enjoying the recipe testing process. The recipes are easy to follow, and as with all of The Complete Idiot’s Guide series, it’s filled with great tips and information that will only enhance the cooking and eating experience. Another plus any cook can relate to: The book stays open while you cook. (Don’t you hate cookbooks that flop shut while you’re trying to read them?)
So if you’re ready to try baking an Orange Cranberry Loaf or Mushroom and Veggie Fajitas, or if your stomach’s been grumbling for some healthy desserts like Coconut-Almond Macaroons or Hot Fudge Pudding Cake, I’ve got great news! You can enter to win a copy of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Vegan Cooking right here!

My daughter went vegan about 6 months ago and I’ll admit it scared the crap out of me because it was right before she was going to come home for spring break. I had no idea how to cook that way and I was pretty freaked out. I’ll admit it has been a challenge to try to make meals that everyone can enjoy but I’d rather do one meal for everybody than two separate meals. I’m not scared of it all anymore but I have sooooo much to learn. It’s been hard to find recipes so I’m thrilled there’s a book like this to help…I mean thrilled!!!! What she misses the most are the sweet treats and most of them she can’t eat because of the eggs and milk. I would absolutely love to bake some of the treats from the book and surprise her! I’m super fired up about this book, I can’t even tell you!
I’m a subscriber through and through!
Sounds like good eating.
I would actually want this for my mom. She is trying to be a vegetarian, but she keeps saying that everything she cooks tastes like rubber….maybe this would help her out!
I have no experience with vegan cooking. I would like to go meatless but I have no idea where to start. This would be a great help. Thanks for the giveaway!

I have been a vegetarian for almost twenty years, but it sometimes difficult to get ideas for meals. I would love some creative ideas since I could definitely use them. I’d love to win this contest. Please enter me, thanks!!!!
I live on a sailboat for many months out of the year and depending on where we travel, meat is sometimes either very expensive or unavailable. In Spain and France it was very easy to get dry packaged Textured Vegetable Protein in a granular state which I could use for Spaghetti sauce, soups, and even sausages. This was a great alternative for us as it required no refrigeration and could be seasoned to taste like almost anything!

I have been a vegan my entire life (I won’t publish my age but I’m over 35)

I am Newby to vegetarianisn, but my friend Myrna said it best when she informed me that she would not eat anything with a face.
I love veggie dishes but recipes for those and especially vegan are not as plentiful as others so this book would be great to have for new ideas.
Hello there.
I have been a Pescatarian, (which I just found out is a Vegetarian who eats fish sometimes) for about 7 or 8 years now.
One product I am mad for is the Morning Star Farms corn dogs.
My 6 year old loves them too. I think hot dogs was one of the few foods I missed, and this satisfies that craving big time.
It is hard to come up with Vegetarian meals 365 nights a year, so, I would be very interested in owning this book.
Thank you
I hope I win it!
Alice
Hello,
I am a Pescatarian, which is a Vegetarian that eats fish on occasion.
I find it pretty hard to come up with Vegetarian meals each and every night, and would really like to win this book!
It would be a god send for me.
Thanks,
Alice
Sorry about the double posts didn’t see the first one, though it didn’t go through
I really do think that smart vegan eating is the best thing for our bodies and the planet. I would love to win this to help me.

I’ve been a vegetarian my entire life and can never get enough new ideas. Love to cook
When I was pregnant (five months ago) I couldn’t eat meat without feeling sick, so I had to think about being creative with veggies. My most-craved meal was roasted veggies in the oven, especially with fresh mushrooms. Now I can eat meat but I still crave veggies and I’m thinking that it might be because the baby needs the nutrients. Unfortunately, I’m not very creative when it comes to veggies. So this cookbook would be SO perfect and helpful! For both myself and my little daughter.
Thanks for the giveaway!

My in-laws are vegetarian and always prepare scrumptious meals. I grew up in a meat-every-meal house and am trying to get myself and family away from that. I prepare lots of veggies and salads, but can’t say that’s really vegetarian cooking, so I’d like some guidance and ideas.
I make alot of vegetarian meals since I’m a vegetarian lol. Although I can’t say that I make very many vegan meals, it seems like it would be difficult, I’d love this cookbook to help me with that since I’d love to go completely vegan.
It’d be nice to get some new recipes. Meat is pretty expensive so it would be nice to save some on the grocery bills.
this looks like a great easy way to become a vegan
this would be great for new ideas, new recipes
I have been a vegetarian for several years, but not a vegan. I find it very hard to give up cheese, and I use eggs occasionally when making various dishes. I would love to have this cookbook, and get some good ideas and recipes.
I always try to keep vegetarian with my meals but sometimes it’s so hard to find recipes I do have to just find some organic meat. I am terrible at cooking tofu. It’s one of the few things holding me back, so I would love this!
i cook vegan when my aunt comes to visit and at christmas time to give as gifts to friends. Dessert always seem to be the most difficult to find a tasty recipe for.
fidgets last blog post..These are the days
I don’t consider myself vegan or vegetarian, but I frequently have meatless meals like macaroni & cheese, pizza (without meat toppings), or a baked potato with cheese sauce and grated cheese. I would love to win this book because I love cooking and like to try new things. There are sure to be some interesting recipes in this book.
We’re working on going meatless more and more and I’d love to have some good (and easy) vegan recipes.
My daughter is 12 and a vegetarian, but she’d like to go vegan so this book would be a great start for her!
I am not vegan but I love vegan cooking. I love all sorts of veggies and have made my own vegetarian squash casserole which I love.

I make vegan soups and salads but it is hard to make entrees that are vegan.
I was a macrobiotic back in the 70s. Yes, I can make tofu enchiladas!
i’m a vegetarian who would like to be vegan, but a couple of things are making that choice more difficult: I don’t like beans, and I live alone and don’t cook a lot. A cookbook might help a lot!
I’ve had very little experience with vegan or vegetarian cooking, but I’m interested in learning about it.
I am new to making vegitarian meals.
I am a subscriber.
I’m new to vegan/vegetarian cooking, but I’m willing to give it a try!
I am actually new this subject. I’ve been interested for several years, but just can’t seem to get it going. My guys like meat, so I’d have to have great recipes and take it slowly. I’ve often thought that it might be much better for my special needs son. Thanks for the giveaway.
I’m now a subscriber. Thanks!
We’ve been cooking meatless meals for years as a way to save money. It has become a way of life and we have definitely not missed the meat.
I’ve become tired of my recipes and would love to give this a try.
