“Treasury of 50 Storybook Classics: Animal Antics” DVD Set

Giveaway Closed – Congrats Beth!

Treasury50AnimalAnticsDVD-NSNo surprise here – kids love animals!  Combining Scholastics’ animal story books with the audiovisual work of their Weston Woods Studios gives kids a special treat in this 7-disc collection, Treasury of 50 Storybook Classics: Animal Antics… and More! With 50 stories focusing on the animal kingdome, kids (ages 3 – 9) will be able to read along with some real classics like Harry the Dirty Dog and my son’s favorite of the group, Click Clack Moo – Cows that Type.

I remember a lot of these stories from my own childhood.  Occassionally a production will surface that’s as old as I am.  I enjoy the flasbacks to “movie day” in grade school or special viewings at my local library during summer breaks.  But to my son, they’re all fresh and new.  I usually sped 1/2 the time watching him watch the show!  (He’s an enthusiastic viewer, dancing and singing along.)  We’ve had some great bonding moments and I’ve felt comfortable letting him watch and learn.
