Whiten Your Teeth Naturally

Whether you’re pregnant, nursing, or health conscious for other reasons, you’ll want to steer clear of those products developed for whitening your teeth. There are some natural solutions that, as usual, are much cheaper and safer than what you find at the store. The best solutions for teeth whitening can be found right under your nose – naturally.

Baking soda is my favorite whitener. I’ve used it for years. I remember someone asking me long before teeth whiteners were on the market, “How come your teeth look like a Barbie doll’s?” Baking soda. You can also mix it with a little peroxide for a whitening boost. Brush with it before your regular toothpaste. It takes a few weeks, but you’ll definitely see a difference.

Now that summer is approaching, it won’t be long before you’re able to get fresh strawberries. If you crush one and rub it on your teeth, it will actually help lighten tooth stains and whiten as well. Plus you have the bonus of berry fresh breath.

Here’s a recipe I have yet to try, but I’m told it’s effective: Mix together 2 Tbs. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. fine sea salt, 1/4 tsp. dried ginger powder, and 3 drops peppermint essential oil. Store in a sealed container, and use 1/2 tsp of the powder to brush.

Try these tips for naturally whiter teeth, no horsin’ around.
