Window Crayons Giveaway from Down To Earth Toys

The dkSummer Fun Giveaway is winding down to a close, but summer is not! We still have two whole months of outdoor play, trips to the beach, vacations, rainy days with children whining, “But I’m so booooored!” Oops! We try to block that visual out, don’t we? Be prepared for those days with some Lyra Window Crayons ($11.49 retail) from Down to Earth Toys. With these, your kids can stay inside on not-so-nice days and draw their own sunshine on your living room windows! Don’t worry, it wipes right back off when they’re done.

This box of 10 crayons is actually pretty fun. I may be an adult, but I still love my crayons, and if there’s one thing I enjoy doing with my son, it’s getting down on the floor and coloring. With these, we’ve been able to sit in front of that big sliding glass door and have at it. I’m envisioning kids in the back seat of a car during a long ride to the Grand Canyon or Wally’s World (if you’re the Griswold’s, that is), and instead of asking, “Are we there yet?” they’re creating art on the back windows of the family vehicle. My son is too young for that experience, so we’ll stick to decorating the slider. It’s nice to have added a little color to the room!

If you’d like to win your own box of German-made Lyra Window Crayons–and yes you have to share with the kids–I have an extra box to give away. By this point in the dkSummer Fun Giveaway, you probably have the rules memorized. But if not, get out your crayons and write this on the window so you don’t forget:

  1. I’m really impressed with the Down To Earth Toy website. Not only do they have European Toys, but the lovely Fair Trade toys. My favorites are the Handknit Cupcakes, and Handknit Vegetables and Fruits. Love to buy Fair Trade items, both clothing and toys…it’s nice to spread the love around the world!

  2. i like the wooden eggs i have to order these my girls are naughty they get in my fridge and play with them like there babies they wrap them up in a towel and its funny until they break

  3. I like the fact the almost all of their toys are made in the U.S. I have trouble finding toys in local stores that are not made in China.
I think the Djembe Drum and some of the other musical toys look really fun.

  4. I love Emeline’s Dollhouse, because its not plastic! My kids would love to draw on the windows with crayons!!! What kid wouldn’t want to do that!

  5. I love the art Table for my daughter – she would spend hours on something like that.

  6. I love the versatility of the Pine Playstand Set. Thanks for the opportunity to participate in this contest.

  7. I got to say that Croak Along Frog Pull Toy is very cool. My kids would love it!!!

  8. My kids would love the different instruments in the Fair Trade section…especially the Suling flute. Thanks!

  9. I love the Wooden Tool Kit, and ALL of the house play items (especially that microwave!). I love toys that don’t trample a child’s imagination. Toys should be seen as tools for little ones, not baby sitters or pacifiers. Thank you for all the hard work you do on this site!

  10. They have a skittles set ^-^ That makes me smile!

Their site is clean and all the toys look great. So many offerings that reminds me of the fun and imagination kids need in their lives.
