The dkSummer Fun Giveaway is winding down to a close, but summer is not! We still have two whole months of outdoor play, trips to the beach, vacations, rainy days with children whining, “But I’m so booooored!” Oops! We try to block that visual out, don’t we? Be prepared for those days with some Lyra Window Crayons ($11.49 retail) from Down to Earth Toys. With these, your kids can stay inside on not-so-nice days and draw their own sunshine on your living room windows! Don’t worry, it wipes right back off when they’re done.
This box of 10 crayons is actually pretty fun. I may be an adult, but I still love my crayons, and if there’s one thing I enjoy doing with my son, it’s getting down on the floor and coloring. With these, we’ve been able to sit in front of that big sliding glass door and have at it. I’m envisioning kids in the back seat of a car during a long ride to the Grand Canyon or Wally’s World (if you’re the Griswold’s, that is), and instead of asking, “Are we there yet?” they’re creating art on the back windows of the family vehicle. My son is too young for that experience, so we’ll stick to decorating the slider. It’s nice to have added a little color to the room!
If you’d like to win your own box of German-made Lyra Window Crayons–and yes you have to share with the kids–I have an extra box to give away. By this point in the dkSummer Fun Giveaway, you probably have the rules memorized. But if not, get out your crayons and write this on the window so you don’t forget:

I love the Wooden Tool Kit, and ALL of the house play items (especially that microwave!). I love toys that don’t trample a child’s imagination. Toys should be seen as tools for little ones, not baby sitters or pacifiers. Thank you for all the hard work you do on this site!
The rainbow ring stacker is my favorite. That’s fun and educational!
They have a skittles set ^-^ That makes me smile!
Their site is clean and all the toys look great. So many offerings that reminds me of the fun and imagination kids need in their lives.
